The SEO tools in ProjectHQ: Search Console data, rank tracking, competitor comparison, site audits, insights, webpages and an events timeline.

The SEO tools in ProjectHQ show how people find your website in search, where you rank against your competitors, and what to fix or write next. They all work from the same project, so a keyword you track, a page the audit flags and a change you log on the timeline end up telling one story.

What's in this section

Module What it does for you
Search Console Your real clicks, impressions, search queries and average positions from Google — and from Bing once you connect it.
Rank Tracker Follows your position for the keywords you choose, by country, language and device, with visibility and estimated traffic.
Competitor Analysis Puts your competitors' positions next to yours on the same keywords. It lives inside Rank Tracker.
Site Audit Crawls your site on a schedule and lists technical SEO problems, from broken links to thin content.
Insights A prioritised to-do list of SEO improvements, each with the impact it's likely to have and a one-click next step.
Webpages Every page ProjectHQ found on your site, with its status code, page type, Google index state and SEO details.
Events A timeline of launches and site changes, drawn on your charts so you can tell why numbers moved.

Your Dashboard sums it up: clicks and impressions from Google, keywords in Google's top 10 and your Domain Rating by Ahrefs, with the change against the previous period.

A good order to set things up

  1. Connect Google Search Console — everything else gets better with real Google data. It takes a minute and is read-only.
  2. Track your keywords — start with the keywords your articles aim at; ProjectHQ offers them to you.
  3. Add your competitors — the sites you want to beat in search.
  4. Let the first site audit finish and fix the errors first.
  5. Work through Insights — the most important items sit at the top.
