Live chat and leads
Chat with your website visitors, let an AI assistant answer for you, and turn the people who reach out into contacts and customers.
Talk to the people who visit your website, let an AI assistant answer them when you're busy, and keep everyone who leaves their details in one place. Live chat and leads covers the chat widget on your site, the Live Chat inbox where you reply, and Contacts and the Lead Board, where visitors become customers.
How it fits together
- The chat widget sits on your website. It comes with the tracking script, so once the script is installed there is nothing else to add.
- The AI assistant answers visitors around the clock, using what it knows about your business from the Knowledge Base. When it can't help, or a visitor asks for a person, it hands the conversation to you — unless you've switched hand-overs off.
- Live Chat is your inbox. You see every conversation as it happens, reply, take over from the AI or hand back to it.
- Contacts collects everyone who left an email in the chat or was identified on your site, with the pages they read and the conversations they had.
- Lead Board shows your contacts as cards in four columns — Lead, Qualified, Customer, Churned — so you can move them along as deals progress.
In this section
- Add the chat widget to your site — turn the widget on, choose the pages it appears on and match it to your brand.
- Set up your AI assistant — name it, give it instructions and decide whether it hands over to you.
- Answer conversations — reply to visitors, take over from the AI, close conversations and get notified.
- Manage contacts — find, add, import and tag the people who reached out.
- Use the Lead Board — move leads from first contact to customer.
- Teach the AI about your business — the Knowledge Base your assistant and article writer rely on.
Tip: On the free plan the chat keeps collecting leads, but the AI doesn't answer and the names and messages stay hidden until you subscribe. See Plans, trial and limits.
