ProjectHQ mobile app

Check your projects, answer live chats, ask the AI assistant and get push notifications from the ProjectHQ app for iPhone and Android.

The ProjectHQ app puts your projects in your pocket. See how your sites are doing, answer visitors in Live Chat the moment they write, and ask the AI assistant about your numbers, on iPhone and Android.

The app is for keeping an eye on things and replying on the go. Setting things up (the tracking script, Google connections, articles and settings) happens in ProjectHQ in your browser.

  1. Install the ProjectHQ app on your phone and open it.
  2. Sign in with the Email and Password of your ProjectHQ account. You create the account and add your websites on projecthq.pro, see Start your free trial.
  3. Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password? to reset it in your browser.
  4. When your phone asks, allow notifications, so you hear about new chats.

Your projects

The Projects tab lists every website you have, with the last 28 days at a glance: visitors, leads, chats, the top source and top page. A red line such as 3 chats waiting for a reply takes you straight to them.

Three phone screens of the ProjectHQ app: the Projects list, a project's Dashboard and the project menu

Tap a project to open its Dashboard: the chat that's been waiting longest (tap Reply), then a card per module with its key numbers. Tap a card's arrow to open the module.

Tap the menu button in the top-left corner to move around the project:

  • Dashboard, Analytics, Live Chat, Rank Tracker, Search Console and Site Audit. You see the modules you've turned on for the project. A red number on Live Chat shows how many chats are waiting.
  • Tap the project's name at the top of the menu to switch to another project.

A module that still needs connecting appears under Not connected yet, with Set up on projecthq.pro to finish it in your browser.

Answer live chats

Open Live Chat from the menu. The tabs filter your conversations: Waiting (a visitor is waiting for you), AI (the assistant is handling it), Closed and All.

Two phone screens: the Live Chat list with Waiting, AI, Closed and All filters, and a conversation waiting for your reply
  1. Tap a conversation to open it.
  2. Type in the Message box and send. When you reply, you take over from the AI assistant.
  3. Tap the visitor's name at the top to see their details, with Overview, Notes and Activity (the pages they visited).
  4. Tap ⋯ for View Details and Close Conversation, or Reopen Conversation on a closed one.

More about conversations and handing over between you and the assistant: Answer conversations.

Notifications

With notifications allowed, your phone tells you when:

  • a visitor writes in a chat the assistant isn't handling, and
  • the assistant hands a conversation over to you.

Tap a notification to open that conversation. The app icon shows how many chats are unread across your projects. On the free plan, the notification says a new lead arrived without showing who it is, see Plans, trial and limits.

Ask the AI assistant

Tap the round button in the bottom-right corner of any project screen. Ask about your traffic, chats or rankings in your own words, or tap a suggestion such as Summarize this week's analytics.

Two phone screens: the AI assistant with suggested questions, and Settings with Theme and Sign Out

Settings

The Settings tab shows the account you're signed in with.

  • Theme: Light, Dark, or Auto to follow your phone.
  • Sign Out: signs you out of the app after you confirm.

Home screen widgets (iPhone)

Add ProjectHQ widgets to your iPhone's home screen: touch and hold the home screen, tap the + button and search for ProjectHQ.

Widget Shows Sizes
Project Summary Visitors, revenue and chats waiting for a reply for one project Small, medium
All Projects Overview Visitors and live chats across your projects Medium, large, extra large

Touch and hold a widget, then tap Edit Widget to choose the period (7, 28, 30 or 90 days) and, for Project Summary, the project. Leave the project empty to show the one you last opened in the app. Widgets refresh whenever you open the app.

On a phone's browser

Opening ProjectHQ in your phone's browser gives you the same mobile screens, without notifications or widgets. Need a setting or a page the mobile screens don't have? Go to Settings and tap Standard web app for the full interface. To come back, open the More menu there and tap Mobile app.
