Use the Lead Board
Move your leads from Lead to Qualified to Customer on a drag-and-drop board.
The Lead Board shows your contacts as cards on a board with four columns — Lead, Qualified, Customer and Churned. Drag a card to the next column as a deal moves forward, and see your whole pipeline at a glance.
Turn on the Lead Board
The Lead Board is off by default.
- Click Manage Modules in the menu.
- Under Available, click Lead Board.
It appears in the menu next to Contacts. The board needs the tracking script, like Contacts and Live Chat. More about modules in Find your way around.
Read the board
- Each column shows how many contacts are in it.
- A card shows the contact's name and company, their tags, how many pages they viewed and how many conversations are open.
- Click a card to open the full contact profile — notes, conversations, pages visited. See Manage contacts.
- Use Search contacts... and the tag filter above the board to narrow it down — for example to everyone tagged "Hot lead".
Move a lead
Drag the card into another column. The contact's status changes right away — in Contacts, on the profile and in its Activity timeline.
The columns mean the same as the contact statuses:
| Column | Typical meaning |
|---|---|
| Lead | Reached out or left their email. New contacts from the chat land here. |
| Qualified | A real fit — you're talking about a purchase. |
| Customer | They bought. |
| Churned | They left. |
Keep the board tidy
- Remove from lead board — hover a card and click the eye icon. The contact stays in Contacts; only the card goes. Bring it back from the contact's ⋯ menu with Add to lead board.
- Archive contact — on cards in Customer and Churned, hover and click the archive icon to clear finished deals off the board.
- Customers and churned contacts also leave the board on their own about a week after you move them there, so the last two columns show recent changes rather than your whole history.
Which contacts appear on the board:
- New contacts from the chat and from your site appear automatically.
- Contacts you import from a CSV don't, so a large list doesn't flood the board. Add the ones you're working on with Add to lead board in their profile.
On the free plan
On the free plan the board keeps its cards, but names and details are hidden until you subscribe — the board shows Unlock your leads instead. See Plans, trial and limits.
